Animal Connection Sound Journeys are held on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 4:30pm and 6:30pm at Discover Your Spiritual Gifts in Centennial, CO.

THE PARTNERSHIP
Created and offered together by Jaime and Gunther Kuhn, this human-only gathering weaves guided meditation and immersive sound into a shared experience of rest and connection. Animals invite us into a different way of being—one rooted in awareness and the quiet language of the heart.
Grounded in Animal Reiki and the universal connection to Earth's Energy, Jaime and Gunther work in true partnership to support the room and hold space. Their combined intention creates a welcoming, judgment-free environment where you are free to pause, listen inwardly, and simply be.

The experience begins with an accessible guided meditation and steady drumming, seamlessly transitioning into an immersive soundscape of bowls and chimes. There is nothing you need to achieve—only a willingness to pause, listen inwardly, and connect.

Guided Meditation & Drum
An accessible, spoken journey grounded in the Let Animals Lead® method of Animal Reiki Meditation, easing you into a state of presence accompanied by a steady, grounding rhythm of the frame drum.

Immersive Soundscape
As spoken guidance fades, the room fills with the restorative vibrations of singing bowls, a gong, and chimes, offering you time to listen inwardly.

Gentle Return & Optional Sharing
A slow transition back to awareness, providing a peaceful space to ground yourself, reflect on what arose, and share if you feel called to do so. Sharing is optional.

We have carefully structured our gatherings to support your safety, rest, and peace of mind. Please review the logistics below.
Human-Only Gathering
This is a human-only event. For everyone’s comfort and safety—and so the animals in our lives may remain at ease in their own environments—companion animals will not attend the gathering.
What To Bring
Please bring anything that will help you feel comfortable while seated or resting, such as a yoga mat, blanket, pillow, eye covering, bolster for under the knees, or water. Chairs may be used by anyone who prefers not to sit or lie on the floor. You will be laying flat or seated for a full 60 minutes.
Sound Sensitivities & Health
Because sound can be felt as well as heard, please contact us before registering if you have sound sensitivities, use a hearing device, are pregnant, or have a health concern that may affect your comfort during an immersive sound experience. We are happy to help you decide whether the gathering feels appropriate for you.

Jaime Kuhn
Jaime Kuhn is the founder of The Empowered Companion and brings a compassionate, grounded presence to the Animal Connection Sound Journey. As a Let Animals Lead® Animal Reiki teacher and Certified Companion Animal End-of-Life Doula, she helps people nurture meaningful relationships with animals through presence, meditation, respect, and heart-centered connection. These practices form the foundation of the guided journeys she offers during each gathering.
Jaime’s work is shaped by her own deep bonds with the cats, dogs, and other friends who have shared her life, along with a reverence for the wisdom of animals and the natural world. Through her voice and frame drum, she creates gentle pathways into reflection, remembrance, and connection. She brings these threads together with Gunther’s immersive soundscapes to offer a welcoming experience where love, gratitude, grief, and curiosity are all given room to be present.

Gunther Kuhn
Gunther Kuhn brings a lifelong love of music and a calm, attentive presence to the Animal Connection Sound Journey. Raised with symphonies and opera and shaped by his early experience singing in a boys’ choir, he developed a deep appreciation for harmony, composition, and the emotional language of music. This foundation informs his natural and respectful approach to singing bowls, gong, chimes, rattles, and other sound-immersion instruments.
Gunther’s connection with animals is equally personal. He shares a peaceful nightly ritual with Franky, who settles into his lap each evening, and previously shared a profound bond with Charlie before his death in 2023. An avid mountain biker and skier, Gunther also finds connection and renewal in the natural world. He brings these threads of music, animals, and nature together in the gatherings he creates alongside his wife, Jaime.
