An evening of memories, offerings, connection, and gratitude
We’ll create a shared remembrance altar with photographs, meaningful objects, and offerings of love and gratitude for the animals we’re honoring.
At this time of year, traditions such as Día de los Muertos remind us of the beauty of welcoming memories through ofrendas—offerings that honor those who have died. You’re welcome to bring flowers, a favorite treat your companion enjoyed, or another small offering that holds meaning for you.
You’ll be invited to share a favorite story: something that captures their spirit, a funny habit, a lesson they taught you, or a moment you still hold close. Sharing is always optional. You are just as welcome to listen and be present.
A gentle guided meditation and remembrance ceremony will offer time to reflect on the bond you shared and the ways that love continues to live in your heart.
There is room here for laughter, tears, quiet reflection, and everything in between. You don’t need to feel a certain way or arrive with the right words.
Come as you are, with whatever memories you’d like to bring.
Bring a few items that remind you of the animal or animals you wish to honor. These might include:
A printed photograph
A favorite toy, collar, or small piece of a blanket
A letter, poem, or a few words about your companion
An object that recalls their personality, favorite places, or the life you shared
A small offering of love and gratitude, such as flowers, a favorite treat your companion enjoyed, or something meaningful to your shared life together
Your items will become part of our temporary remembrance altar, and you’ll take them home at the end of the evening.
If you don’t have an item to bring, please come anyway.
A memory and an open heart are more than enough.

Hi, I’m Jaime, founder of The Empowered Companion®, Animal Reiki Teacher, and Certified Companion Animal End-of-Life Doula.
My work centers on the love between animals and their people - through everyday connection, tender transitions, and the memories we carry after goodbye. I offer compassionate spaces where that bond is understood and honored, and where you can feel welcome exactly as you are.
I would be honored to help you remember and celebrate your companion.
Bring their story.
Say their name.
Celebrate the life you shared.
A Few Helpful Details:
