This class offers you the opportunity to become certified in Level 1 Animal Reiki through the Let Animals Lead® method, created by Kathleen Prasad. In this unique approach, animals are seen as spiritual healers and teachers, deserving of the same consideration, comfort, and respect as humans during Reiki sessions.

Rest assured, you'll leave with tools to bring the practice to your beloved companions and other animals.
*Optional field trip(s) with Jaime will be offered between sessions, providing an opportunity to bring Animal Reiki directly to an animal shelter, cat café, aquarium, sanctuary, or other animal-centered settings. These immersive experiences will deepen your understanding and practice of Reiki in real-world environments, allowing you to witness the profound healing impact on animals firsthand. Details and additional entry fees (if applicable) will be discussed during the course. This hands-on experience will help you feel the powerful connection between Reiki and the animals in our care, empowering you to bring healing into the world with even greater confidence.
Parking & Building Access: There is free parking at our location. Come into the building and look for the stairs or elevator to find us on the second floor of the office building.
Refund and Class Credit Policy:
Refunds: Available for cancellations made up to 7 days prior to the start of the first session is the class series, minus any credit card processing fees.
Class Credit: For cancellations made between 48 hours and 7 days prior to the first session, a class credit will be issued, which can be applied to the same titled class within a 12-month period. Class credits are non-transferable and can only be used for the original class title booked.
No Refunds or Credits: Cancellations received less than 48 hours before the first class in the series are not eligible for refunds or class credits.

What is animal reiki?
Reiki is a Japanese term that combines "rei," meaning "spiritual" or "universal," and "ki," meaning "life force" or "energy." It is an ancient practice of directing healing energy to bring balance, well-being, and vitality to all living beings. The Let Animals Lead® method of Animal Reiki, created by Kathleen Prasad, incorporates traditional Japanese Reiki techniques, including meditation, the Reiki Precepts and the three energy centers, to support the healing of animals while honoring their agency and allowing them to guide the process.

Is this a reiki certification class?
Yes, this is a Level 1 Animal Reiki certification class. You will gain the essential skills and knowledge needed to practice Reiki on the animals in your home, as well as offer healing support to those in shelters, rescues, and sanctuaries.
For those looking to deepen their practice or become Reiki practitioners for the general public, Level 2 classes will be available later this year. These classes will allow you to expand your abilities and explore the broader potential of Animal Reiki.

I'm certified in another Reiki lineage, can I skip Level 1 and start with Level 2 or 3 classes?
We understand that you may have prior Reiki experience, and we truly appreciate your dedication to this healing practice! However, we kindly ask that all students begin with Level 1, regardless of previous certifications. The Let Animals Lead® method is unique in its hand-off approach and its focus on animal agency and choice, which are essential concepts for effective and compassionate healing. Starting with Level 1 ensures that you have a solid foundation in these principles, allowing you to fully embrace the method and deepen your practice as you move into Level 2 and beyond.

I am an Animal Reiki Teacher, Certified Companion Animal End of Life Doula, and personal Mesa Carrier in the Andean Shamanic Tradition. I dedicate my time and energy to supporting animals and their human companions during life's most tender moments, creating compassionate spaces for healing, connection, and transformation.
Specializing in Animal Reiki and End-of-Life Doula services, I help pets navigate chronic illness, anxiety, and aging while guiding their families with empathy and respect. As a certified practitioner of the Let Animals Lead® Method of Animal Reiki, I blend mindfulness and presence with practical expertise in animal health and compassionate, non-clinical support during end-of-life transitions. My role as a Mesa Carrier deepens my connection to the natural world and reinforces my understanding of the interconnectedness of all beings, enhancing my ability to support the emotional and spiritual needs of animals and their families with grace and presence.
